Their younger son continues to be a vexation to me. He is very knowledgeable about kayaking and about computer technology, but is not shy about boasting about it and makes regular practice of ordering his parents around. They once observed that I let Mary to do that to me and I wasn't completely aware of it. Their son does the same thing and I wonder if they know. It sure bothers me.
Another school year is upon us. We don't report officially until next Wednesday, but our deputy superintendent for cirriculum is trying to badger us all into going in two days early to attend the educators' conference she has arranged. I am going to attend a few of the sessions, but do not plan on attending any of the keynote speeches, particularly hers. It would be an understatement to say that I do not like nor trust our deputy superintendent. Too much history there, from another school system....
